Information regarding the visa requirements for those wishing to travel to the United Arab Emirates is listed below. However, visa regulations and costs are subject to change and should always be double checked with your travel agent or Embassy of the UAE before travelling.

Note: Over staying your visa will result in fines and detentions.

The Embassy recommends all their eligible applicants to strictly follow the Rules and Regulations in order to avoid any delay. Since the visa policy is being monitored by the UAE authorities, therefore, the instructions provided by the Embassy are subject to change without any prior notification.

There are three types of visas which can be obtained from the Embassy provided that the requirements are fulfilled:
  1.  Single Entry (One Month)
  2.  Single Entry (Three Months)
  3.  Multiple Entry (Six Months)

Visa Requirements:

1. Visa application must be submitted to the Embassy’s Consular Section at least TWO (2) Weeks Prior to Departure Date.



  •  Note Verbal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan is compulsory.
  •  Note Verbal of older dates will not be accepted.
  •  The Purpose of Entry should be mentioned on the note verbal and the VISA FORM(Incomplete applications will NOT be entertained)


  •  Note Verbal from the concerned Mission/ Office is compulsory.
  •  Note Verbal of older dates will not be accepted.
  •  The Purpose of Entry should be mentioned on the note verbal and the visa form. (Incomplete applications will NOT be entertained)


  •  Original Visa form MUST be typed in and the Visa Form can be downloaded from the website.
  •  Photographs should be pasted with white background (NOT stapled or attached).
  •  Visa form with incomplete requirements will not be entertained.
  •  Visa application form must be signed by the applicant on the space assigned for his/her signature.
  •  The Particulars of Sponsor in UAE is a MUST requirement.
  •  Govt. Official should mention the Particulars of Sponsor as their Embassy or Consulate in UAE.

5. Diplomatic and Official passports are exempted from the visa fees.


6. Ordinary passports will be charged for the visa according to the duration of stay in UAE i.e.:

  •  US $ 200/- for (30) Days Single Entry.
  •  US $ 400/- for (90) Days single entry.
  •  US $ 800/- for (6) Months Multiple Entry.

7. Visa fees once deposited shall NOT BE refunded in case the applicant request is rejected/denied by the authorities in UAE.

8. For Six (6) months Multiple Entry visa the applicants are requested to provide the following:

  •  Note verbal from the Foreign Office/ Embassy explaining the reason of their frequent visits/travel to the lands of UAE.
  •  A Sponsorship letter from the sponsor in UAE, stating the importance of the applicant’s visits to the UAE and that they have no objection in sponsoring them throughout their stay in the country.
  •  Please refer to point no. 4

Note: All visitors should have a valid return ticket and a passport valid for a minimum period of three months.

For those who wish to obtain multiple entry visas it should be kept in view that the purpose of their frequent travel must not be for pleasure and transit.

  •  Tourism visa can be obtained from your travel agent.
  •  Transit visa can be obtained from the airport on arrival.

The Other types of visas are as under which can be obtained through the sponsor and the relevant authorities in the UAE:

  •  Business
  •  Exhibition/Festival/Conference
  •  Resident
  •  Employment
