Types of Trade License in Dubai:

Commercial license is issued to companies engaged in trading activities. Documents Requirements for commercial licenses are:

Manufacturing or industrial companies are issued Industrial license. You are required to have physical office inside Dubai to obtain industrial license. Documents required for this license are:
- Filled form
- Passport Copies of all the Partners
- Copy of Local Partner Naturalization book’s or Jinsiyya.
- No Objection certification is required from the sponsor for expatriate partners
- If UAE ID Number is not mentioned in the Visit/Tourist/Transit visa, it has to be collected from Immigration Department.
- Certain activities require initial approval from concerned departments for example Municipality, RTA, National Media Council etc.
This license is required by professionals, service providers, crafts men and artisans. - Issuance of licenses for manufacturing companies should have approval of the Finance and Industry Ministry.
Process to Obtain Business Trade License in Dubai:
- You must choose and select your local partner as sponsor for your company. Also, it is necessary to define the extent of services you require from local sponsor. Apart from this it is necessary to create a good working relationship with your sponsor to avoid future disagreements.
- Application form needs to be submitted to Department of Economic Development for approval of trade name and activity.
- You are required to have office space for business, so it is imperative to look out for office location and make a tenancy agreement.
- A Memorandum of Association (MOA) should be Prepared with a local sponsor.
- An application for business license needs to be submitted to DED along with required legal documents. Following are the documents which must be submitted to Commercial Registration Department in DED to acquire Trade License.
